Pratica di Mare airbase – Boeing Fleet Support Center

As part of the Program KC-767A tanker aircraft between Boeing and the Italian Ministry of Defense, IG O&M S.p.A. was awarded the contract for the Design and Construction of the Fleet Support Center (FSC) at the military airport of Pratica di Mare.

The FSC building was built in accordance with the requirements of the Customer (Boeing) and the owner and end user (Italian Airforce, XIV fleet) and it includes the following main areas:

• on the ground floor: a warehouse for the storage of aircraft spare parts and an area used as a locker room for aircraft maintenance personnel;
• on the first floor: partly used as offices and classrooms for the training of ITAF military personnel and partly as offices for the supervisory staff of the Boeing project;
• on the roof: area housing the treatment and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

In addition to common utilities such as water, sanitary, firefighting, electrical, data, access control, etc., a particular room was realized for the supply and installation of a flight simulator for pilot training.
