Interporto della Toscana Centrale: Realization of Prato Interport viability and environmental mitigation works

The Interport of Toscana Centrale S.p.A. is a Public majority Company, founded in 1984 as a logistic center of reference in central Tuscany. It is located in Prato, in the area of Gonfienti and spreads over an area of about 700 thousand square meters. Inside it contains facilities and services, with the aim of promoting the international transport of goods.

In 2005, a public tender was awarded to IG O&M S.p.A. for the complete renovation of the main road network inside the Interport of Central Tuscany (Prato), including underground services (water, optical fiber, electrical cables, public lighting, sewer, etc.), parking for articulated vehicles, rest building for vehicle drivers, entrance toll booth, and environmental mitigation works.

Italian SOA categories of the contract are: OG3 – building/road works, OG6 – construction of underground services, OS24 – green works.
